Where sewing
becomes an art.
A family-run atelier in West London — over fifteen years of dressmaking, alterations and the kind of work that takes its time.
Over fifteen years of one rule: do it properly.
Stitching Room has been part of West London since 2009. The atelier is family-run by a Polish team who brought their craft from Poland to Chiswick and never looked back. What started as a small studio grew the only way that mattered — through word of mouth, returning clients and the slow trust that builds over the years.
Nothing here is mass-produced. No two clients walk out with the same garment. Every fitting is in person, every pattern drafted by hand, every stitch checked before the piece leaves the studio.
The principles that shape every piece
Fitted in person
Every garment is pinned on you at our studio. We don\'t guess measurements — we take them in front of a mirror, on the day, with the shoes you\'ll wear.
One garment at a time
No production line. Each piece is worked through from start to finish by the same hands, so nothing gets lost in translation.
Any fabric, any age
Silk, leather, fur, denim, lace, suede, brocade — and clients from six to ninety. The work changes; the standard doesn\'t.
Honest about the brief
If something can\'t be done, or shouldn\'t be done, we\'ll say so before we start. No promises we can\'t keep.
Over fifteen years of dedicated, hand-finished work.
Every stitch checked before it leaves the studio.
Silk, leather, fur, lace, denim, suede — no exceptions.
Walk in any day from Monday to Saturday — no appointment needed.
Come and meet us.
The best way to start is to bring the piece in. We\'ll talk it through, pin it, and tell you what\'s possible.
